DJ legends Carl Cox and John Digweed have been added to the line-up for this year’s Area tour in America. This is the second of the Area travelling festivals set up by blues-sampling dance vegan Moby, which last year featured DJs like Paul Oakenfold and Timo Maas.
Cox and Digweed will be joining the likes of David Bowie, Busta Rhymes and Moby himself when Area:Two kicks off in Virginia on 28 July. The festival will tour across America before finishing in Washington on 16 August.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Moby commented: ‘I remember the first time I saw David Bowie. It was in Giants Stadium (in New Jersey) in front of 80,000 people. These people are the best at what they do. Bowie is untouchable. Rhymes is untouchable. I get to stand on the side of the stage and watch them play.’
