While preparation for Creamfields Mexico is in full swing, there is another massive festival in the making. Acasoundfest will be held November 1 -3, 2002 in Acapulco, Mexico.
Headliners include Beck, Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, Danny Howells, Sander Klienenberg, Sasha & Digweed, Max Graham, Jimmy Van M., Lee Burridge, and Christopher Lawrence.
Acasoundfest’s mandate isn’t only to bring the best of the electronica scene together for a weekend of indulgence but also show how electronica is a catalyst for positive change. Acasoundfest has created the Million Wishes Latin America Charity Fund. This fund is in charge of responsibly directing the profit from the weekend to a variety of local charities which deal with AIDS/HIV, education and medical care for underprivileged citizens. A minimum of $120,000 USD in charitable donations has been guaranteed by the promoters.
