Drum & bass DJ Goldie is one of the housemates in the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, which started on Wednesday.
Goldie had been approached by the programme producers in the past, but has always declined. He only opted to take part this time because of the 50,000 being donated to a homeless childrens charity, a cause very close to Goldies heart as he spent many of his formative years living in a variety of childrens homes.
The mixed bag of celebrities in the house with the jungle hero turned soap star include clapped out TV presenters Anne Diamond and Les Dennis, pneumatic model Melinda Messenger, unfunny comedian Sue Perkins and ex-Take That has-been, Mark Owen.
Over the next 12 days, the celebrities will have to complete a range of tasks while dealing with the constant threat of being evicted. The eventual winner will be revealed on November 29th.
Goldie commented: “I was a big fan of the last Celebrity Big Brother. I got addicted. My game plan is to really have a laugh. Im probably going to get on best with someone like Anne Diamond, but well have to see. I think someone like Les Dennis is probably going to be the first to break down.”
So far, Goldie has breakdanced in the lounged, threatened to bum-rush the bedroom and failed to tell Ann Diamond that her lipstick was on skew-whiff. Stay tuned!
