Oakenfold North American Tour

Paul Oakenfold starts a North American tour November 25. He will play in 20 cities, Vancouver being the only Canadian stop.

This tour will be different from previous ones as Oakenfold will do more than play a set. The first part of the show will include a short set but the main event will be in the latter half when he does a live performance. He will be playing, with a band, extended versions of the tracks featured on ‘Bunkka’.

Argentine Cream dj, Hernn Cattaneo will be opening up.

‘Bunkka’ is Oakenfold’s first release of a completely original collection of ’songs’. Seeing as Oakenfold has a spectacular CV (he founded the very successful “Perfecto” label, remixed numerous songs for many talented bands (U2, Happy Mondays, etc.), scored films (Swordfish, Planet of the Apes), and is currently the highest paid dj around), there was a lot of anticipation and hype surrounding the album. Ultimately, the cd fared poorly with most critics but was a hit with the fans.
