Melbourne is heating up yet again…well technically (r)Adelaide, but this latest summer music festival is defiantly Melbourne at heart! In the end it doesn’t matter, because you’re going to have a great time. The inaugural Hot Licks Festival is bringing some of Australia’s best young artists to celebrate art and music… in a dormant Volcanic crater… Awesome!
Bridging the gap between rural youth and their city counterparts, Hot Licks will bring the finest of Melbourne’s burgeoning young musical talent to Mount Gambier, proving that physical distance is no match for artistic endeavor.
With irrepressible young musicians including Redcoats, Boy + Girl, Wolfie & the Bat Cubs, Dozers, Teen Archer, Learn the Splits, Dancing Heals, Guests of Ghosts, Ross de Chene, Hurricanes, Jumpin’ Jack William, Neil Wilkinson and Lucy Roleff the festival is set to bring the pulsating underbelly of Melbourne’s band scene into the wild. On the DJ end Post Percy, James Kane and Simon Fire will be presenting the latest beats and tunes, to bring the day and night to a very wild and bush-loving end.
