About this artist

AUTOBIOGRAPHY profile

Born in the suburbs of Chicago and sharpened under Florida skies, Danny Suerth built his sound the way real producers do: digging backward to move forward. Before the drops, before the lights, there were drum breaks, dusty funk records, low-slung basslines, and the cadence of old-school hip hop running through blown speakers in bedrooms that were never quite soundproof. That foundation never left.

Relocating to Orlando gave him space to stretch. New rooms, new systems, long humid nights tweaking mixes until the kick finally sat right and the bass stopped fighting the groove. That chapter didn’t just refine his sound, it clarified it. He stopped sounding influenced by scenes and started sounding like himself.

His catalog reflects that evolution. Releases across Wonk#ay Records, Glitch Hop Community, Jumpsuit Records, Psychocybin Recordings and Grand Alliance Music, show a producer comfortable crossing lanes without losing cohesion. Collaborations with Pheel., Vokab Kompany, BackLeft, Willdabeast and Woofax underline the versatility, but the common thread is groove. The production hits hard, but there’s always swing in it. The bass can snarl, sure, but there’s soul underneath.
