The Biz

The Biz is the stage name of Paul French and Violeta.

They are heavily featured on the ground-breaking hypnotech album ‘Hypnotica’ by Benny Benassi Presents The Biz, containing the hit singles ‘Satisfaction’ and ‘Able To Love’. They also featured individually on the Benassi Bros. albums ‘Pumphonia’ and ‘…Phobia’, on ‘I Love My Sex’, ‘Don’t Touch Too Much’, and more club hits.

Paul and Violeta bring their performance to life on stage with their original approach to voice and movement. Their performances have been described as hi-tech, robotic, sexy, sleazy, hot and cold. Their live shows are energetic, beautiful and attractive. They have toured Scotland and USA where they performed twice for WKTU in New York, and in Philadelphia and San Antonio in Texas, among other places.

‘Satisfaction’ was #1 in the French Dance Charts, entered the UK Singles Sales Chart at #2, went Top 5 in the European Dance Chart and was #2 in the Official Dance Charts in Germany. ‘Hypnotica’ reached the Top 5 French Sales Charts staying within the Top 20 for several months.

‘Pumphonia’ was #4 in the French Top Selling Chart. Both ‘Rumenian’ by Violeta and ‘Memory of Love’ feat. Paul French were Top 30 on the French DJ Chart for 3 months. ‘…Phobia’ was immediately #2 in the Top Selling Chart in France.

The Biz received the European Border Brackers Award at the Midem Cannes Festival, and the Miami Dance Star Award as Best Video Act, with nominations as Best International Act and Best Single.
