When music cuts out in a club, the floor usually waits for the drop. At UNVRS in Ibiza on July 21, the silence kept going.
A venue-wide power outage cancelled John Summit's Experts Only night and left hundreds waiting before the cancellation was confirmed. We Rave You, EDMTunes, and EDM House Network reported the outage, the delayed call, and refunds afterward.
This was not a performance failure. The room itself stopped working.
Experts Only is Summit's house-first residency. That night, it never reached the floor.
A hyperclub makes a bigger promise
UNVRS opened on May 30, 2025, on the former KU and Privilege site. The roughly 10,000-capacity venue comes from Yann Pissenem and The Night League, and DJ Mag named it Club of the Year for 2026 in its debut year. A room marketed at that scale also makes a promise about operations and communication.
A ticket to an Ibiza residency can also mean a flight, hotel, and months of planning. A refund covers the door price, not the lost night. The sources confirm refunds and say Summit addressed the outage on his own channels, but they do not describe any further make-good.
Hardware can fail in any venue. The useful measure is how quickly the operator explains what happened and looks after the people affected. On July 21, hundreds waited inside Ibiza's newest hyperclub to learn whether their night was over. That delay is part of the experience UNVRS now has to answer for.
